Elliott Company of Indianapolis is proud to introduce our next generation of ELFOAM® brand rigid polyisocyanurate foam products: ELFOAM P200, P300, P400 and P600. These products replace our T series product line as a result of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandate. Below are some frequently asked questions intended to help you better understand this exciting evolution:

Is the mandated chemistry change unique to Elliott Company?
No. The EPA’s dictate applies to all polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam producers.

What is the difference between the T and P series products?
Externally most users will not notice a substantial change between the old and the new. Chemically, however, the blowing agent component in our foam formulations has changed from HCFC 141b to a Hydrocarbon (HC) blend. Per government requirements, HC foams have zero ozone depletion potential.

What replaces what?
2 lb/ft3: ELFOAM P200 replaces T200 and H200 (natural color)
3 lb/ft3: ELFOAM P300 replaces T300 (teal)
4 lb/ft3: ELFOAM P400 replaces T400 (yellow)
6 lb/ft3: ELFOAM P600 replaces T600 (grey)

Will product physical properties remain the same?
Elliott Company has worked hard to ensure our next generation products are near drop-ins for most customers particularly with respect to Compressive Strength, Surface Burning Characteristics and Water Vapor Transmission. For accounts focused on insulation performance, 180 day aged k factors for HC foams should be comparable to HCFC 141b blown foams.
